Graphic Designer
Design the official Codergarten's student passport
THE CHALLENGE
The Graphic Designer course introduces students to the world of graphic design through an authentic creative project — designing the official Codergarten passport that will be used by all students. Working alongside a professional graphic designer, students will explore how visual ideas are transformed into meaningful, functional products.
Throughout the course, children will investigate layout, vector graphics, colour choices, and visual storytelling. They will sketch concepts, prototype pages, test ideas, and refine their designs based on feedback, just like real designers do when working with clients. Students will also consider practical design elements such as usability, clarity, and audience experience.
Participants will develop creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills while learning the foundations of visual design and branding. Concepts are introduced in an age-appropriate way, allowing beginners to explore confidently while extending more experienced learners through deeper design challenges.
By the end of the course, students will have contributed to the design and development of the official Codergarten passport and understand how design shapes the way people experience products.
